What is a good battery and charger for the traxxas slash thats cheap and has a lot of power? And has the right connections?

The new Slash short course truck from Traxxas.
Yeah I called my hobby shop and they said maybe next week he's getting 4 in at about $199 give or take about $10.

the internet posting said late may but i called my local hobby shops and they said mid june with the price of 220$

Should i get a traxxas slash or should i fix my electric rustler?

I already have a gas powered rustler and a savage ss. I want a car for the track and i either want to fix my rustler and get track tires for it. The rustler needs a new speed controller and new tires. But when a slash be funner for the track.

You just need to get a couple of things for the E-Ruslter? This is as opposed to the Slash at $200 US.

What Speed Controller are you looking at. Tires will be about $40 whereas the ESC will be around $100 - $150, may be more if you put a brushless system in it.

I would do both, get the Slash it looks fun and fix the rustler. Its always good to have a Basher around.

Should i get a losi desert truck or a traxxas slash?

I am also thinking about getting possibly a speedt or a rustler vxl or bandit vxl or getting the slash and making it brushless too. what is better the slash or the desert truck.

Geat Question! I run many R/C cars and trucks, and i asked myself the same thing. ok his, and lows

The Losi is quick, has lights, the back of the body is about as scale as it gets. a great basher. and comes 2.4 specktrum. noones on your channel! well unless you find a way to get more then 80 of them running together at the same time.

The Slash. is a real beater.they take a hit and just keep going, there brushless ready, and water proof! hehe! its been tested. it has many stampede as well as maxx parts. so hop- ups are easy acess.

downs, the Losi, has some parts that many places just dont carry, its a whole new design so its going to take time before all the shops get all the "common" break repairs in. the Slash can throw the spur gear, or even the shafts
i have both and run them hard, there is even stuff on you tube about them

how do you like the traxxas slash stock? im interested in getting one. looking for some info about it. what are some pros and cons? what kinda maintenace does it need ect?

i do not personally have a slash but i have quite a few electric and nitro rc vehicles. what i have heard and read about the slash is that they are pretty quick and quite durable. maintenance isnt that hard on electric. just make sure all your screws are tight and make sure the wheels are tight (i have learned from past experience that the wheels can loose off haha) every month or so i just go through mine and make sure to get the dirt and grit out of the drive shafts. they are a lot of fun and i know that you will have a blast driving it. for more info: http://www.traxxas.com/products/electric/5805/trx_5805.htm
