I was wondering which traxxas monster truck would be good for dirt and street?
Aug 23, 2008 by kcfreak3182 | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
I want the Revo or the t maxx 3.3 which is more durable for off track use like the desert and street cause i run my rustler in the grass and the street a lot. My neighbor has the tmaxx 3.3 and it can take a good beating, can the revo take a good beating?
I'd go with the Traxxas T-Maxx. T-Maxx is designed for abuse, on or off road. You'll always break parts, but less often with the T-Maxx vs. Revo. Revo cannot handle the dirt/hills/jumps as well!

Any Traxxis rc product is good. I do believe however my boyfriend has always bought the Stampede or the T-Maxx which I believe is gas powered(not sure, he's into helicopters now, lol. He also went through the boat phase last year!)

What is the best rc monster truck for me?
Aug 01, 2007 by nAtHaN J | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts
i want a rc electric monster truck, at first i wanted to get the Traxxas Rustler RTR Electric ST XL-5 w/ ESC but i heard traxxas is not durable. so now im trying to find another rc monster truck. the monster truck must fit my budget of 200. it should go more than 35+ the company maker must be known for durablility and it must be good for jumps. so idk if you ahve any reccomendations but plz help me my b-day is aug23 and i want to have an rc monster truck for my party. good day
i own 5 rc vehicles all electric and i race them. 3 are traxxas. i have an older rustler and 2 emaxx. they are durable, you have to learn how to run them to try to eliminate the breakage. example you have to let off of the throttle before you land from a jump. not doing so can rip out gears or driveshafts. and that goes for any brand of rc you might purchase. if you add alot of aluminum hop-ups, remember the vehicle will find the next weakest point to break. my email is woodevil1@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

Traxxas Slash, the Ultima Rc Gadget on the Market
Miguel asked: Traxxas’ new Slash is a outstanding tiny race truck, but you don’t need to be a race driver to enjoy it! It’s built on a combination chassis based on the Stampede/Rustler blueprints, and is really stable, even at speed. The body is Enormous! though the chassis is technically 1/10th scale, the body feels more to be 1/8th scale. It goes away from all other Traxxas trucks in that the wheels are covered, not sticking way out of the wheel wells a la Monster Truck. Non-modded, the Slash is peppy, but I put in one of Traxxas’ new Velineon brushless engine and speed control systems. WOW! Now it can do wheelies on demand, and controllable powerslides around corners! The TQ radio Traxxas includes with the Slash is alright, but if you plan to race this truck, an after market transmitter is best, as it would have the alterations necessary to tailor the truck to any racetrack circumstance. Spektrum builds an outstanding one. I as well urge a another tire/wheel combo, as the stock ones aren’t a good alternative to race with. I substituted them with a tire/wheel combo from ProLine, which are smaller diameter wise, but a bit larger than the stockers, and they just ignite the truck up! Right Away the Slash can go through corners MUCH faster than before!Traxxas has surpassed itself with this truck! The Slash is a outstanding truck to start racing with, because of it’s forgiving nature in most areas, and it’s exceptional handling. Many judicious application of after market parts well-defined above, will make it a truck to beat! Don’t get astonished if someone come up to you asking about it, because the Slash is great unusual truck!Curtis
