what other engines will work with my team losi aftershock besides the M26SS?

i need to now what i can use before buying another one because it won't start up it is team losi aftershock.

You can use pretty much any big block engine(.21 - .32) as long as it has either a pull start, or a roto start, because the flywheel is not accessable to a starter box. I had two of these trucks, and i put an OS .30 in one with no probs.

I really recommend the Losi(Dynamite) 427 engine. It makes gobs of power and lasts a long time, and you can bolt on the stock roto starter.

From experiences which is better the HPI Savgae X or the Team Losi Aftershock?

Tell me anything you know about any of these rc nitro trucks.

Two fun trucks to play with. It depends also on your experience. If you're new to the sport, HPI has fantastic build instructions and they're easy to work on. Losi makes great quality kits too. You can always swap out the motors and most of the kits for aftermarket parts if you don't like the initial build. They're pretty unstoppable unless you inadvertently run it off a 6 foot drop. :(

tmaxx is ur best bet. they have been around for ever. those things are like tanks. back then me and my friends would to thos thing of jumps like 2 even 3 stories high . then the would land upside down and we always shut em off to make shure there okay and there was nothing wrong. we'd just fire em up again and do it all over. lus they have unlimited hop up parts. theres so many.

Which R/C truck should I buy?

I am wondering if I should buy the team losi aftershock or the traxxas t-maxx 3.3. the t maxx costs more but I just want something with power to play around with. Any suggestions will help.

that is strange, i was deciding between those two one year ago. i ended up getting the aftershock. i went with it because of a few reasons. 1. the radio is many times better than that of the t-maxx. it is JR and it is soo nice. 2.The engine is bigger and bigger engines are generally less picky with settings. It has ran great for me other than the clutch doesnt grab as well as i would like it to. this is easily changed though. 3. It is big. 4. i like the idea of 4 massive shocks instead of 8 small shocks. i havent used it much recently because i have been busy but it ran well when i did use it. it was my first 4wd vehicle and it is very touchy when you ramp it, maybe this is the same for all but i dont kno. ok, now i will tell you some of the pros and cons of my truck based on experience.
Pros: Plenty of power for me. 2 speed tranny works perfectly, gives truck good top speed. truck has plenty of steering power, it has dual high torque steering servos. Easy to tune. doesnt overheat. Parts are cheap(at least what my friends have broken)
Cons: you need a long glow igniter to start truck with body on. brakes easily flip truck over. wont wheelie. not water-resistant(cant drive in snow). i had to replace a bearing(inside clutch bell i believe), hobby shop owner said that is normal for engines of this size and that hobbyists just accept the fact that they have to replace these. primer of tank is so-so.
