any suggestions on fixing it
What exactly wont work? There are numerous reasons it may not be working, unless we know more information about your problem.
Is the servo plugged into the receiver?
Is the power on and or the batteries fully charged?
Does the steering servo make noise when you turn the wheel on the transmitter?
Do you have it plugged into the correct slot on the receiver. When you hit the gas does the steering move? When you turn the wheel does the throttle arm on the carb move?
If you can hear a noise coming from the servo, then check the servo saver to make sure you did not strip the saver. Take off the servo saver and see if the servo will move.
Is the steering linkage in a bind. Alot of times people will use pre-load spacers on the shocks to raise the truck up to the maximum height it can go, this can put a bind on the linkage.
Is the linkage bent?
Did you run the truck through water. If so the servo might be shot.

What is the best 1/8th scale NiTRO powered car/truck/truggy?
Aug 16, 2007 by Sanjé's Mommy | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts
My fiance' has a Losi Muggy but I would like to get him another one within the next few months and needed a little input . .
THE ALMIGHTY JAMMIN X-1 CRT PRO KIT!!!!!!! My wife and I each have one of these and they are close to indestructible. I never broke down during a race with that truggy. Come to think of, I don't think it ever broke to the point I couldn't drive it until the engine finally crapped out, after lots of racing abuse. I bent the wing stays, I bent a driveshaft, and I obliterated the stock body, and I broke the plastic lower B-block, but none of these prevented me from finishing a race. Keep in mind that this vehicle, if not used exclusively for racing will probably never break anything until the engine or servos wear out. Mine was abused pretty badly, and I still have a pile of spare parts that I just never had to use. Itn handles rather impressively, too. Make sure to get the CNC front hubs for a little extra steering, and use good servos on a truggy like this. It will flat out blow away the Muggy on a track, no competition whatsoever.

Which rc company is better Losi or Traxxas?
Nov 08, 2008 by Marcus I | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts
I'm thinking of a buying my first nitro rc car, and I won't a good one that can take a beating.
I've owned a few traxxas rustlers and never had durability problems with them. My friend hit a curb with my stadium truck going 60 and it flipped about 20 feet and landed on the sidewalk and had no problems at all.
I owned a duratrax buggy and it fell apart every single time i took it out.
I'd go with whatever you have at your local hobby shop that way if you need parts you can get them fast.
have you ever thought about a brushless electric rc? mamba max motors can easily go 60mph and a combo (motor and esc) is only $180 at www.b-p-p.com. batteries would be about $50 (all-battery.com is cheap and good) and a traxxas rustler rolling chassis can be found on ebay for $40-$60
so for about $280 you could get an rc truck that is fast and you don't have to worry about the engine not running right or paying for fuel.
are you just wanting to bash around with it or are you wanting to race it? if you're racing i'd go with Losi because they seem to be more race oriented
