How Difficult would it be to build an Hpi Savage x SS Kit when zero experience?

i have been looking for a hobby and was thinking about building an rc truck. how difficult would it be to build this truck with no experience in doing so before. also for anyone who has built this... how much money am i looking at? im starting from scratch. no radio, no nothing. thanks.

Pretty hard as a beginer. i would start with an rtr (ready to Run). the nitro engines are hard enough to manage without having to build the whole car first. if you start with a rtr you can get to know the engine, the electrics and everything else about nitro cars and then once you've got the hang of RC nitro cars you can decide then if your up to actully build one of these machines!

im looking for 2 3s 11.1v lipo batterys for a hpi savage flux hp. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm using TEAM ORION Platinium Edition 5000mAh Lipos or my Savage. Good lifespan and it rocks! Make sure you get a good lipo charger!

Problem with my HPI savage nitro truck?

I have an HPI savage and I am pretty new to this hobby so I am having some problems with it. I can start the engine with no problems but as soon as it starts it wants to take off...it doesnt idle right....when I give it gas the engine cuts out....I dont want to make too many adjustments because I dont want to get too far away from where the adjustments are supposed to be...can someone help me out? thank you

That sound like the idle adjustment screw is turn to much to the rich side. Read the manual to find the correct way to turn the screw to lean it out a bit.

has anyone got a hpi savage x and what is there opinion of it?

most skateboard ramps are 15 and a half ins wide so are to small must be portable

Go to a place where you can buy two boards. Figure the angle you want for your vehicle to go up the ramp and buy a two inch thick by a bit wider than the wheels of your truck. Go to a hardware store and tell them you are making a ramp and you want the plates to put on both ends of the wood. Any further info e-mail me.
