According to numbers from the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s House Price Index (HPI), seasonally adjusted home prices fell .6% from December to January . The median national home price is $165,100. This is the third consecutive monthly decline. Housing prices fell 3.3% over the 12 month period ending in January. Housing prices are down on average 13.2% from the peak in April 2007. The HPI is now at about the same level as it was in October 2004.

Concerns over unemployment likely subdued demand for housing. In a Bloomberg piece today, Mark Vitner, a senior economist for Well Fargo, said: “People don’t want to commit to a home purchase if they’re worried about their job”. Unemployment continues to linger above 9% or even higher in some parts of the country.

For those who qualify, money is still inexpensive. Mortgage rates remain low despite the imminent cessation of the Federal Reserve’s mortgage backed securities purchase program . The average mortgage rate on a thirty year fixed mortgage was 4.96% last week.

The supply of previously-existing homes rose 9.5% . At the current pace, it would take nearly nine months for the market to absorb all the homes.

In today’s existing home sales report from the National Association of Realtors (NAR), fell .6% from January to February, although sales are 7% higher than sales from February 2009. Source: Mortgage Rates & Trends (blog)

i have a seriously hopped up nitro mt racer all alu parts but my front steering knuckle on the left sheered the bolt from the c hub in a collision and now i have a wonky wheel. local hpi dealers cant find anyone with parts and hpi usa have been out of stock for months... please help

i got .21 engine parts off of a hpi .21 3.5 engine. the piston crank carb backplate n all are good but the case is cracked in half. would these parts fit in any .21 crank case?

hello guys......
I zaim live in KUALA LUMPUR MALAYSIA.....i want to ask a few question about RC rock crawler.....
the question is i want to buy a RC rock crawler...but i have alittle bit confuse between HPI whelly king and AXIAL AX10 scorpion...where is the better for rock crawling?if i buy HPI whelly king i must add some money to buy a option part to transform the HPI Wheelly king to became a rock crawler...but if i buy axial ax10 scorpion i just to put a battery and run it....my problem is where is the better for rock crawling?if i buy axial is it have option part like colourful suspension or some part to make rc rock crawler become a monster rock crawler...what i mean can i change the some part to become a extream rock crawler?
My 2 question is can we play our rock crawler at place where have a water?is it effect any electronic part?because i have see a many video in youtube where some people play their rc rock crawler pass to the water.....

hey, so you know, i do not own a rock crowler, but have been in the hobby for many years and have seen and crawled with both rigs. i would definatly go with the axial. it was built for crawling and has unlimited after market parts. it is very user freindly and easy to upgrade. the hpi needs alot of work to become a real good crawler. for more info on crawling, check out some forums. there are sections in most rc forums that are dedicated to just crawling and are loaded with information and other rc'ers from around the world that are into crawling. they can answer all your questions.
