Hpi rush evo problems?

i recently recieved a new engine from HPI after the first one had low compressions, so they gave me a new one.

i fitted the new engine and went through the break in period. after that it kept destroying the spur cog and the clutch bell. i finally replaced both of these items and they mesh together fine.

but the problem is when i start the engine it is fine for a few moments, then after a few seconds, when i open the throttle is almost stalls. and it does this time after time. i have returned the idles to base setting but the same thing happens. all i want to do is get this car running fine after about 6-8 months.

does anyone have any ideas/ solutions to my problem???

Do you still have the bill of sale? If so return it to them and let them know what kind of problems you are having and want it fixed or give you a new one. Take someone with you for a witness.

How do you check if the car mileage is genuine?

I'm looking at a used car, but the mileage seems a bit low, considering its age. So how do you check if the car mileage is genuine?

does the HPI check help?

you can log onto the dvla web site,stick thre reg doc number and mot number and it will tell you the last 3 years of mot's/milage.

Hpi T-15 engine problems?

i have just recieved a brand new T-15 engine for my Hpi Rush Evo. but being a novice i am not able to troubleshoot some major problems with it. the problem is that when i start it, it goes to very high revs and then stalls. i have looked at many different instructions but they do not seem to work.

does anyone have a hpi rush evo/ T-15 engine and has had this problem. if so can anyone offer some advice since i havent used my Rush in 6 months due to the fact of manufactured low compression in the piston.

check you needle setting sounds to lean ( closed ) try opening it up 1/8 turn at a time also check you fuel lines for plugs or splits and make sure that your radio trim is not all the way to the top open for the throttle write me and I will help you out If you want?

My Hpi e savage won't go in a straight line when i go in reverse, but will when i want to go forwards. The steering trim on the controller is set correctly and i can't see any damage to the steering on the car. have only had the car for a couple of days so i haven't had the chance to do any crashing or proper bashing. However, i only noticed it not going the straight back in reverse when i was slightly low on battery power, could that be the reason.

whats the best setting on the mixture screw to start my rc nitro car how many turns for the high and how many?

for the low speed the car is a hpi rs4 evo had it running but didnt idle for long thanks for any input

If the idle is all that is wrong, but it runs well otherwise, I wouldn't mess with the mixture screws just yet. Check the idle screw and make sure the throttle is staying open a couple of mm's.
