Where can i get hop ups for my duratrax NITRO evader st?
Aug 18, 2007 by REALTIME | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts
I need so alumanuim hop ups for my duratrax nitro evader st. I can't seem to find anyone that sells them. Could anyone give my a website that i can buy them from. THANKS.
go to towerhobbies.com, duratraxx.com, or golden horizons website. you will find what your looking for there. remember though, going aluminum looks good and is lighter but scratches easy and can can be more brittle (breaks easier than plastic) also keep in mind, when you make 1 part stronger, it makes other weaker.

yeah, tower hobbies is probably the best place to get cool parts for your evader. Here is the link to the parts tower carries for your truck:

I would keep the aluminum parts to a minimum, like front steering knuckles, rear hubs, and bulkheads. Keep in mind that broken plastic parts are very inexpensive to replace, and alunimum weighs MORE than the plastic parts thet replace, but is worth the weight and expense in areas that are highly stressed. If you just want a show truck that looks cool, disregard everything I said, but if you want a race truck or a more reliable truck just for fun, think about it and ask some local racers to take a look at their trucks and learn from their experience too.

How can I make my Duratrax Nitro Evader do wheelies?
Nov 18, 2007 by grundsty_83 | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts
I just bought it brand new. I saw others do wheelies and are alot faster than mine. What do I have to do to make mine do wheelies?
if you broke you engine in correctly .. it should go at least 50km , also those people probably have put an upgraded motor or transmission and other upgrades stuff.
to do a weelie its quite simple .. while your car idles give it a lil gas then break quickly then full throttle it should send your car flying forward and also up .. if i were you having a weelie bar would help alot .. if you dont want to flip it
hope that helps

Duratrax evader st trouble plz help?
Jan 30, 2008 by Kevin G | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts
hey guys i have and electric duratrax evader st (not pro) and i bought it used for real cheap so i could get started with the rc car hobby at a good price, anyways it was riding like it should when i got it so no trouble there but when i took it out for maybe the 20th time yesterday in the snow and water and it worked (the signal was very short ranged though) and i lost control as if the remote turned off or something (it didnt) and i hit a wall and lost the wheel arm. After fixing it i tested it out in the basement (note after repairing i havent taken it out of the basement) and now its really going crazy (in a bad way) i mean i only get maybe 10-20 metres of range (maybe a little more maybe a little less just a naked eye est) and when it loses connection, it acts as if the car is off, then when its connected again it usually starts driving with out warning! Please help email me at kevingrzela@yahoo.com if you want to or just answer this post PLEAZZZE HELP
Any help appreciated, Kevin
I'm assuming you've got brand new batteries in both the car and the hand set. If so, then it sounds like the Crystal in the car could have worked itself loose in the impact.
Switch everything off then go to where the antenna is. The reciever should sit in a little case. Open it up and check if there's any water inside it, if there is dry it out. There should be a little coloured tab sticking out, that will be the Crystal. Take it out, blow into the connections then replace it. Once you've done that put some foam inside where the reciever sits to protect it from impacts in the future then put it all back together and try it again. Also check the battery connections in the car for any damage. Another little tip is to place all the electrics into a plastic bag or a balloon before you use it in the wet. It could just be that there's water in the Speed Controller or in the receiver.
Hopefully at least one of those will be the solution to your problem.

Duratrax Nitro Evader St?
Jul 16, 2007 by Eric | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts
I have not driven my Evader in two years and I need to know what to do to get it runing again. It is in very good condition and I just need tips and instructions to get it going. It has always been kept indoor in my closet. Thanks!!
Replace the glow plug, fuel line, and wash out the fuel tank with fresh fuel. Keep the new glow plug half to one full turn loose tight. Put freshly charged ignitor onto glow plug and pull to start. It may seem like the engine is sludged but once you get it started let it run, warm up. It may run like poop for a while, let the engine heat up and wash out all the sludge. All this may take SOME time. Be patient. Always follow the manufactures instructions, I'm not responsible for any damages that may happen while you are starting the engine nor am I responsible for any type of damage to you or your car. With that-Good luck .
